Description | This is an extensive collection of non-elicited utterances produced by native speakers of Tuparí in conversation (either in person in Rondônia or over WhatsApp). This collection of non-elicited utterances is constantly being updated and corrected through subsequent interviews with native speakers of Tuparí. For each utterance included, Singerman has aimed to provide the name of the speaker(s), the date, the time, the location, and the broader discourse context. Approximately 165 WhatsApp clips have been included to accompany the original utterances. Comments that politically sensitive, jokey, inappropriate, etc have been anonymized. The vast majority of individuals quoted in this collection have also worked with Singerman as paid language consultants. |
