Materials in and about the Yawarana language of the Parucito river in Venezuela collected since September 2015 on three separate visits to the speakers in the city of Puerto Ayacucho, the town of San Juan de Manapiare and the village of Majagua (additional materials will be collected in 2018).

Story of Oroko. Ana P. tells the story of a child named Sorokoima, son of a shaman named Oroko (‘fox’). The child was tricked by other children in the village to go in a hole at the bottom of the river which then they covered with a rock to trap Sorokoima. When Oroko ask the children if they have seen Sorokoima, they tell him they have not seen him. Oroko realizes they are responsible for the disappearance of his son and makes them disappear in revenge., Historia de Oroko. Family problems picture task with Pablo and Ana. The session was conducted acccording to the stimulus-elicitation methodology the Family Problems Picture task following the procedures outlined in San Roque et al. (2012). As a part of the task, in the first phase, the speakers were presented 16 pictures and asked to describe each picture presented to them, one at a time, and in an order that would not let the speaker discern the logic among the cards in terms of narration. We tried to move on to phase (2) which consists in sorting the pictures into an order that the speakers think is coherent, as a narrative, but we realized our collaborators did not have yet enough experience interpreting still 2D images as a sequence.
