Tale of a poor man
Antonieta tells a story of two people -a rich and a poor person- and their attitude toward giving money to the church. The poor person is very generous and the rich one is very meager. Antonieta also recounts her experience with the changing religious affiliations in the community. She puts this in the context of her own family. Her husband is a devout evangelist and she is a devout catholic and traditional. Both Antonieta's sons are catholic.

When people are tied down

Antonieta recounts how people (usually the bride's family) steal the soul of some men in order to make them stay with the family forever so that they won't go back to their parents. Antonieta also relates the practice of placing people's clothes in a clay pot in order to call them back home if they are far away, in other lands.
