DescriptionTeresa is Domingo's wife, she repeats what he says but not in a literal manner. I009 & I010 are with her alone.
His Panare name was Puka but now he is better known as Domingo. He was one of the most feared shamas and one of the most reknowned healers even among the creoles who lived in the area. He is already very old at the time of this interview and his voice sounds very weak. The interview took place in the presence of a group of Panare teachers who were meeting in Laguna Sucia with the researcher for a workshop on literacy. Domingo answered some questions referring fundamentally to myths. His wife, Teresa, repeats the myths afterwards in a clearer voice, which allows better understanding of the recording with Domingo.
