Description | Village leader Ewka calls upon a common hunt before a feast ( 0 - 5 min.) and his brother- in-law Churuma feels forced to accept ( 5-7 min.). Technically the oho has just started, and it is - unfortunately - cut off shortly before its end, due to tape shortage. This chant and the Oho chant in WAW001R002 were partly translated by Robert E. Hawkins, a missionary among the Waiwai at Kanashen during my and Dr. Jens Yde`s stay, 1954-55. |
