DescriptionA long dialog between the leader of the community of Caño Amarillo, Uñe´, also called Yoroko (literally "fox") and his son-in-law, Nahtë. It lasted a week in the leader's hut. This conversacion was elicited by the researcher who each day chose the topics and prepared the questions with Nahtë before beginning the conversation. It embraced a wide variety of topics: origin myths, contacts with the creoles, intercommunity warfare, shamanic initiation and practice, funerary rituals, and the conception of the soul. A selection of the most interesting texts can be seen in the book Yoroko.
