DescriptionThe participant tells the story of the village of Cotzal. It was born on the banks of the river, where they were able to wash their clothes and drink. They named their village Cotzal because that was what they called their language variety. Before they had built their Catholic church, there was a time when the sun did not come up for several days. When they built the church, the sun finally came up. In that area, they have ravines and earth to grow chili, coffee, bananas, tomatoes, corn, and beans.
