DescriptionThe two participants, Angelita Patricio Tolentino and Nicolás Vigueras Patricio, are mother and son. Don Nicolás was my principal consultant. Nicolás Vigueras Patricio is the principal narrator in this narrative, and he begins by stating the name of the story. His mother, Angelita Patricio Talentino, contributes to the narration from time to time. At one point Doña Angelita begins to code-switch between Huehuetla Tepehua and Spanish. At this point Don Nicolás switches to Spanish and gives a free translation of the story.
Both the Tepehua narrative and the Spanish translation that follows are in TPW1R49, since there was no break in the recording.
